Hi dear followers, I finally took some time today to write down the pattern for this lovely tulip flower coaster. Grab your hook and lets get started . I am looking forward to seeing your project and wonderful color too. Please tag@annaluciadu on Instagram . See you soon there .

You will need:

  • Any Dk weight yarn can work for this project.
  • 4mm crochet hook.
  • scissors
  • tapestry needles

Special Stitches:

Beginning popcorn: Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), make 4 more dc in the same st, drop loop from hook and insert hook from front to back through top of 1st ch-3,  then into dropped loop,  and pull the dropped loop through the other loop on hook. (See the photo below)

Popcorn stitch: Make 5 dc in one stitch or space, drop loop from hook and insert hook from front to back through top of first dc, then into dropped loop, and pull the dropped loop through the other loop on the hook.

Pattern Instructions:

Round 1: Begin with a magic ring. Ch3 (not count as a 1st dc.)  16 dc in ring, join with sl st to first dc.  Cut the yarn, fasten off.

Round 2: Attach green yarn to any st, ch4 (counts as 1st dc and ch1), dc into the same st, ch2, * skip 1 st, (dc, ch1, 1dc) in next st.  ch2, repeat from* around, join with sl st to the top of 1st dc.  Cut the yarn, fasten off.

Round 3: Attach flower yarn to any to ch-1 sp.  Make a beginning popcorn (refer to the special sts explanation above), ch4, *1 popcorn in next ch-1 sp, ch4, repeat from * around, join with a sl st to top of beginning popcorn. Cut the yarn, fasten off.

Round 4: Attach white yarn to  top of any popcorn, ch2 (counts as 1st hdc, hdc in ch-4 sp from round 3, 3dc in ch-4 sp from round 3 and ch2 sp from round 2 together (crochet  3d in ch-4 sp and ch-2 sp together ),  hdc in ch-4 sp from round 3 again,  * hdc in next popcorn, hdc in ch-4 sp from round 3, 3dc in ch-4 sp from round 3 and ch2 sp from round 2 together,  hdc in ch-4 sp again, rep from * around, join with a sl st into the  top of beginning popcorn.

Round 5: ch1 (not count as 1st sc), sc in the same st, ch3, skip 2 sts, (2dc together, ch3, 2 dc together) in next st, ch3, skip 2 sts, *sc in next st, ch3, skip 2 sts, (2dc together, ch3, 2 dc together) in next st, ch3, skip 2 sts, rep from * around, but instead of doing last ch3, we do ch1 and dc into the 1st sc, now as you can see the st is in the middle.

Round 6: Sc in the same sp, ch3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch3, (2dc together, ch3, 2 dc together) in next ch-3 sp, ch3, *sc in next ch-3 sp, ch3, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch3, (2dc together, ch3, 2 dc together) in next ch-3 sp, ch3,  rep from * around , join with a sl st to 1st sc.
